REVIEW OF THE CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) POLICY

 On May 26, 2011 the PBSW and Council took a decision to amend the CPD policy (2009). This decision was taken because of the limitations that the CPD approval panel experienced when implementing the Policy. Recommendations about the amendments to the policy were made during a workshop that was held on 26 May 2011 by the Board and Council. The SACSSP is now requesting for Social Workers and Social auxiliary Workers to make an input about the amendments they recommend should be made. Click here for a copy of the CPD policy cpd policy.
Recommendations about amendments to the policy may be submitted via email to cpd@sacssp.co.za, faxed to 086 664 8627, or posted to the SACSSP, Private Bag X12 Gezina, 0031. Please tabulate your input as follows:

Occupational Specific Dispensation Survey

The SACSSP is embarking on a rapid survey amongst its registered social workers to ascertain the impact of the OSD on the social work profession at large. To download the survey click here.

  • To all registered social workers and social auxiliary workers: Please note that all annual fee payment received from November 2010 to 31 March 2011 in respect of the 2011/2012 financial year, the receipts have been posted to the individual addresses as last uploaded on the SACSSP database. For any payment received after the said date, the name is removed from the register and the application for the restoration is available upon request.
