The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) is responsible for the evaluation and processing of applications for recognition of professional bodies and registration of professional designations for the purposes of the National Qualifications Framework Act 67 of 2008.
The South African Council for Social Service Professions is registered and recognised by SAQA as a statutory professional body (body of expert practitioners in an occupational field) as contemplated in section 29 of the National Qualifications Framework Act 67 of 2008 (EXCO 08153/15)
