Social service professionals have an ethical obligation and legal responsibility in terms of the Social Service Professions Act 110 of 1978 to renew their annual registration through the payment of annual fees. The annual fees for 2025/2026 financial year were payable to Council by 1 January 2025. Those who are still to pay are encouraged to do so, within 90 days counting from 02 January 2025. Failure to pay within the 90- days period will result in the removal of your name from the register (deregistration), and incurring additional costs to restore your name on the Register. Below are annual fees payable for financial year 2025/2026:.

The finance division issued invoices already last year in November 2024. Please do check through your email inbox as well as your Junk/Trash/Spam email folder if you have not received such email with your invoice attached. The SACSSP is saddened by the passing of a registered child and youth care worker Ms Patricia Bongiwe Mtu Nxele (7000524) and a registered social worker Ms Cathline Annalise Howey (1011661). May their souls rest in peace.
