Celebrating World Social Work Day 2026: Voices of Unity, Hope and Harmony

SACSSP News

SACSSP joined the global community in celebrating World Social Work Day, a moment to recognize and honour the vital contributions of social workers in strengthening individuals, families, and communities.

Aligned with the 2026 theme, “Co-Building Hope and Harmony: A Harambee Call to Unite a Divided Society,” our celebration highlighted the importance of collaboration, shared purpose, and mutual support. Members of Council, Professional Board for Social Work and Professional Board for Child and Youth Care Work contributed thoughtful messages reflecting on their experiences and the role they play in fostering dignity, inclusion, and positive change.

These messages collectively capture the spirit of social work - promoting unity, restoring hope, and building stronger, more resilient communities.

We invite you to read and reflect on these inspiring contributions.
